I'm not too sure but wanted to tell you I had chocolate cysts on both ovaries ( one which ruptured ) . I had surgery but they returned quite quickly afterwards & would be about 8 to 10cm. I waited another 14 months to have more surgery to remove them. I'm 41 & had my first cycle of IVF in March. I had 6 eggs collected but 4 fertilized & I'm 27 weeks pregnant now. I don't think for my age that was too bad. X

Unfortunately there is no way of telling, it is the luck of the drawer so to speak. I have had three laparoscopies, as I have the cysts keep returning to my ovaries and have it in my bowel also. I have had multiple rounds of IVF where I have got pregnant and miscarried, so I am one of the unlucky ones. However I here many success stories so there is definitely hope.
