Can infections be a symptom of endometriosis?

Hello, I'm 22 years old and I keep getting one infection after another. This year I have been put on 10 different courses of antibiotics and I'm still finding I'm getting some sort of infection. I've had yeast infections, UTI's, inflammatory disease and other one's around my girly parts I can't remember the names of. I've literally had so many I'm living off antibiotics and I feel as though they're not working. :(

Is this just another symptom of endometriosis? I already have a massive list of other symptoms that match up to endo so it wouldn't surprise me if it's just another one to add to it.

Has anyone else found they've had millions of infections? If so have you managed to find away of preventing them?

The thing that is warrying me is if I keep getting them will this affect me ever being able to have kids in the future if my infections keep coming back?

I'm just sick of taking antibiotics now as well because they always upset my tummy and make me feel sick. People keep saying I look like I've lost weight this is probably because I find it hard to eat while I'm taking them.

Hope I'm not boring anyone with my rambling on I just have so many questions that no one can answer. Xx

Please go see a naturopath, endo is linked to POS which is linked to autoimmune illnesses. And autoimmune illnesses come from immune system problem aka the gut. Do it now before it’s too late. You need to heal your gut and work on building your immune system back up. And please no more antibiotics unless it’s life or death scenario. Seek help from nutritionist and naturopath.

Thank you that's really interesting! I definitely will as I'll do literally anything to sort out this problem. I've had enough of antibiotic but it's all the Drs seem to want to do. If there's an alternative way around it's gotta be better than being put on another lot of antibiotics. X

I had bacterial vaginosis and thrush several times, which I don’t think is normal. Is this linked to Endometriosis & Adenomyosis? x

Hello, sorry for the late reply my internet hasn't been working. I'm not sure if it is or not but I had a laparoscopy and they found my ovary was stuck in the wrong place as well as cysts. Although they didn't find any endo my Dr hasn't written the idea of me not having it. I was told my ovary could of got stuck because of it and that all my symptoms match up with endo. I've also been told that because my surgeon wasn't a specialist he could of mist it because it can be hard to find. But who knows... my Dr is pretty much still treating me as though I have it. X

I believe that endo caused me to get sick all the time. After my lap I’ve not even had a snifter of a cold - I don’t want to tempt fate though xx

Hi Suzi,

Antibiotics is not a good idea. Have you got your vitamins checked. Check out on B12 and Vit D. Ask the doctor for those and others too. That may help you and if you can have all herbs stuff like turmeric ginger. Those are good and garlic. If you ho online you will see natural remedies for UTI’s.

I've had my vit D checked and it was fine because I also have polycystic ovaries as well I am likey to have a low level of vit D. I'll have a look at foods online as I'm up for trying anything. I use natural reminds on my dog's and it works a treat so I don't see why it shouldn't on myself. :) xx

Thank you for everyone's advice. I have spoken to a nutritionist about it and we are gonna look into different foods and see if any of them make a difference. It's gotta be better than theys antibiotics as they are also making me feel so Ill. Xxx
