Rib pain diaphragm
Does anyone get left rib pain or has anyo... - Endometriosis UK
Does anyone get left rib pain or has anyone ever had endo on there ribs or Diaphram??? Any advice will be much appreciated thanks
I have had pain under my left rib now for several years and think it’s possibly related to endometriosis. I’m currently waiting for a lap after I was in hospital a few weeks ago with a suspected ruptured endometrioma. I have mentioned this to my consultant so they can check if it’s related when they do the lap. Would be interested to hear what others experiences have been.
I have been doing some research and some people who have had rib pain have had endo in there Disphram or in some cases on their ribs I feel like I have something similar as I have had pain for last 2 years in this area I guess I will have to have another lap to confirm this unless they can check when they do my surgery still on a waiting list for that as I have stage 4. Please let me know on any updates Lucy and I hope you feel better soon xxx
Yes. I can’t telll you how many times I googled “left rib pain” over the last couple of years! I had surgery to remove my left ovary in December (thanks to a larger than grapefruit-sized endometrioma) and haven’t felt the pain ever since. It was likely displacing other things internally and causing pressure up near my ribs.
Do you have it during period or/and ovulation? Does it radiate to your arm/shoulder/hand?
I do and I am convinced it’s endo on my diaphragm. My husnand thinks That i imagined it but he doesn’t know the pain in gives me
Have you seen a doctor ?
I find only deep freeze spray helps with the shoulder pain.
Take care xx
Yes the pain goes to my left shoulder and sometimes when it's bad I feel like I can move my left shoulder. I have the pain all the time but it gets Worse when I ovulate I have been to the doctor numerous times they have referred me to gastro as they looking at my Pancreas and spleen but they have told me after scan they seem fine so I will have to go to my gp and see if they can look into endometriosis being in that area as I don't think gyne will as they only look at the reproductive organs aparently that's what my gynocologist said anyway. Everyone thinks I'm over exaggerating it to but I can't even wear my bra most days or have to put it on really loose with extender straps! The reality of it is you only know when your going through it and we know how much pain we are going through and living with it but we shouldn't have to if there's any developments in the future I will let you know I'm not holding my breath though used to getting ignored of doctors.
Thank God for you lovely ladies, been feeling a pain under my left ribs since I came off a family holiday last June, had so many tests and everything was coming up fine, I was getting to the point where I start to think I'm going mad because it feels like someone's trying to push my organs through my left ribs from the inside, finally a CT scan has shown up my right ovary is twice as big as the left and my doctor thinks it's endometriosis, shes started me on the pill (even though I'm sterilized) and Amitriptyline. I'm so pleased I've stumbled on this group. So many strong ladies supporting each other. Thankyou all xxx
