3 months still waiting on hysteroscopy and cystoscopy, symptoms getting worse- need to rant. 😔😣

Hi all.

To cut a long story short I've been suffering with endo symptoms for years, finally saw a gynaecologist back in May this year. He wants to do a hysteroscopy as well as a cystoscopy both on the same day under a general. Urology consultant will be there too. I've got in touch with my local MSP to inform her that the NHS as a whole in Scotland are breaching the 6 week waiting time for cystoscopy as it's one of the 8 key diagnostic tests. I have been signed off work for nearly a month now due to all the stress and anxiety and symptoms getting worse. I have been chasing up the hospital to ask about my appointment and am even on the list (or supposed to be) for an emergency cancellation but getting nowhere. The gynaecologist wants to do these procedures first before he considers a lap. Does anybody have any advice about what I can do? I'm at my wit's end here. 😔😤😭 Thanks ladies. Xx

So sorry you are in all this pain and still waiting .

Go to your regular doctors and ask them to chase it up for you, or for them to send a letter stating you need it now.

It might help .

Took this to my local MSP as I'm getting nowhere with my own doctor's or the hospital. My MSP will investigate on my behalf and inform the cabinet secretary for health in Scotland of the situation.
