My consultant has just started me on GnRH injections, once a month for six months
I’ve felt horrendous for most of this week but I think that might because I stopped taking the norethisterone tablets so I had a mega period. The doctor did warn me that I’m likely to have some symptoms such as hot flushes and I wondered if anyone had any experience they could share? How long is it likely to be before the side effects start kicking in?
Thanks in advance x

Are you having add bacs too? These help with the side affects of the menopause.
I’ve had an injection of decapeptyl about 3 weekdays ago, I was getting awfull headaches but found cold/flu medicine really helps them. I also have really achy bones in the morning and evening. Have had maybe two hot flushes but they weren’t severe, I also get a bit itchy every few days .
My pain has practically gone though, and I haven’t had a period. I’m getting the odd pain and discomfort but nothing like before. I’d say it takes a few weeks to settle into the system.
If you are taking the adbacs though it could be them making you unwell, as there as so many different ones to try .
