Feeling relieved - the opp went well

So I finally had my first laraposcopy on Friday. I was told there was possibility of open bowel surgery/ colostomy bag and a big cut. I was down for 3 hours. But they did amazing. They said my endo was worse than they thought and a lot of it was hidden so they had to move few organs. They managed to shave my bowel so no bowel reconstruction, bag or big cut. They did it by key hole. Feelin sore and swollen and now back home. So relieved I put my trust in my surgeons x

Yes big relief. Not knowing what I was Gona wake up to. But so happy I’m now on the road to recovery x

Two weeks until my full hysterectomy with bowel complications. Starting to get nervous I’m hopeful that my endometriosis will be shaved so your post is reassuring. I wish you well with your recovery 🙂

Hope all goes well for you. I guess they have to tell you the worse case scenario but surgeons are fantastic these days and I just wanted to share my good news. I know its worrying before hand. All the best for your opp x

Glad it went well for you!! Can I ask you what your bowel symptoms were? I have my first lap next Monday and my bowel issues are getting worse. Good luck with your recovery xx

Good luck with your opp. My symptoms for bowel was - I couldn’t ever go to the loo often. I’d get shutting pains, when it was ladies time and I had to go. I never put my problems down to endo at first. But made sense when they said it was on my bowel. Hope u go on ok xxx big hugs
