Less cramping and pain, thanks to Natural Calm

I am way over here in California but I read and post here since I find this site and frankly the UK/Europe more advanced with Endo awareness than here.

I have seen Natural Calm on the shelf at my local vitamin shop for years now. Have you it on yours? If not it's easy to buy online.

According to reviews and articles many people take it as part of their arsenal for depression, anxiety, insomnia and headaches. However, it is also popular for people with constipation because its main ingredient is magnesium citrate which promotes easy, smooth, regular bowel movements.

Thanks to my Pelvic Physical Therapist who really pushed me to try it (it is expensive and in a large bottle not easily portable, although if on the go just put some in old script bottles) because:

A) she said I needed to stop taking the cheap, bad kind of magnesium, oxide, since it can causes gas and cramping. She was right! Oh and I realized too it was a Calcium and Manesium supplement, often sold together (better for women with osteo or people needing cal supps) the calcium was reducing the mag absorbtion.

B) for dosage control and good absorbtion. It is in a loose powder form and I can really play with the amount to get it right for me. Also, I can increase or lower it based on that days diet (you know, if I ate less magnesium or not, right?).

I have been taking it for about a month now. It helps me get sleepy and also, this is huge, when I wake in the middle of the night due to pain and thus anxiety, it is easier for me to fall back asleep. It's not always the case, but my odds are better now. I also will have a little once during the day to help manage the stress of it all.

Ready for this one?!?!

I also have less chocolate and sweets cravings since taking it! That appears to be because I have been magnesium deficient. Studies show many people are.

But the main reason I am posting this, most importantly, is it has improved having more regular and smooth movements. Yaaaay!!! According to both my Pelvic PT and also my Gastro doctor they say easy to create and pass regular bowel habits are perhaps the most important thing for Endo patients, for pain management. Further, for years I have been a big believer in regular bm's help control excess estrogen which feeds endo (if you look up estrogen dominance you will see what I mean).

I am not out of the woods or cured by any means (and I wish my problems were only Endo). I also take some Chinese herbs to help along with other things, but it is now part of my regiment for sure and probably for life.

XOXO,

A little less....OuchieGrouchie
