Big blood clot

I’m waiting for my laparoscopy to look for endo, meanwhile my GP put me on Depo Provera (I’ve been on it for a year before) to manage my pain for my periods. Ive still suffered the same daily sharp pains and dull aches.

I’m currently on day 13 of my period. It’s acrually got heavier and more painful the last 2 days. Just the same horrible lower back pain, dragging pain down legs and really intense sharp ache in my left hip area.

Anyway, sorry for the TMI, but Ive just passed quite a large blood clot. It was slightly bigger than a strawberry and looked like a piece of liver 😩 (eurgh) it has just alarmed me and I’ve called 111 someone is going to call me back. I guess it’s just worried me as I’ve never passed anything as big as that.

Anyone else experienced anything like this? I feel so weak and drowsy but I guess 13 days bleeding will do that to you !

Hi loulou, I had exactly the same problem (enormous blood clots) and they were grey in colour. From what I understand there are 2 types of blood clots one being common on birth control pills and the other being on the heaviest days of menistration. I did go and see my gynaecologist about this actually and he said that this is common in women who have endometriosis.

Yes its normal with endo and specially when you are going through heavy bleeding and it continues for13 days its fine but still you u can check with ur gyno
