I had my lap 7 weeks ago to remove endo and I still have all the symptoms of endo. Ive currently just come on my period and I'm in absolute agony. My guarnatolgiest said it can take 3-6 months for everything to settle down properly but just wanna hear people's experiences and know if it has got better for anyone? It feels like I went through all the surgeries for nothing atm :(

I had open surgery to remove a large mass of endometriosis from abdominal wall 2years ago. After 2-3months I was in severe agony around period time and felt lump in stomach. Constant pushing with GP resulted in me having hysterectomy 3wks ago to remove the returned endo that was on my ovaries, in tubes and abdominal wall and pelvis. If it doesn't feel right keep pushing the doctors.

I've heard the first period after surgery is the worst so I wouldn't worry about it, although I understand it is frustrating! Your body has been through a lot after surgery so it can take a while for everything to settle down. I had the mirena put in during my surgery and luckily been pain and period free so I can't really give my own personal experience sorry. I'd see how your next period is and maybe go back to your gp or try contact your gynae doctor for some advice.

It took me four-six months to be pain free. I switched to the endo diet which massively helped.

I was still having horrible symptoms about two months after surgery; my specialist said its because sometimes the body is still healing and in pain, just the areas are where endo has been removed so our body can't tell the difference between removal of endo pain and endo pain so we think nothings changed. It's awful.

Four months later and I'm starting to notice improvements, I can also now track my cycles better (more regular) so can tell when my endo symptoms come on and where in my cycle they occur.

I think it differs for each person, hope you feel some positives soon x

You have to know there is no treatment for endometriosis since you have it you will live with it . it is impossible to get rid of endometriosis but the good thing is that you can manage the disease and the pain by using supplements and follow diets . i am now like pain free it is just hurt a little bit but i still have endometriosis. I treated three time with one surgery and injections for two times that stopped my period for one year . so think with me i had a surgery and i took injections that stopped my period for one year and it ate all of my endo cells, but do you know what happened i just got my period after the injections the endo grew again since your hormones are working you will suffer from it

Surgery is not a treatment

Hysterectomy is also not a treatment

Injections are not a treatment

Becoming pregnant is not a treatment

All of them will help you with the pain but they will not treat the endo

The only treatment for it is (((Menopause)) because endometriosis is a hormonal disease

That why there are many endometriosis suffers who have Hysterectomy were still get pain because their hormones are working .

If you afraid from pain I really suggest you take supplements and minimize the food that grows endometriosis . I have heard that yoga also helps 👌 also frankincense oil is great for adhesion and scar tissue
