How long does it take before your stitches areas stop hurting?

2-3 days in general but they will probably still be sensitive to the touch for about a week :)

If in any doubt see a nurse practitioner; one of mine really hurt and it turned out a scab had healed over 2 stitches and caused a huge infection. Best to be safe than sorry. xoxo

Yea I started to have bleeding form down there so went to doctor she done an internal said I’m bruised a lot and weeping at stitches and told me how many internal stitches I’m likely to have and that I really really need to do nothing for the first few weeks. She was surprised I hadn’t been told how to care for myself and explained the operation to me. But, was good to have seen someone close that I can go back to if I have any more questions. So it’s back to bed rest
