Hi guys I had my lap 4 weeks ago to remove stage 4 endo and adhesions. Im actually due on my period in 2 days but earlier today I started to get cramps on my left side where my stitches were. Its so painful I was in tears and had to take codein and paracetamol. Even after taking it I can still feel the pain just not as severe. I noticed at the same time my period has started but very light pink which is unusual for me (usually starts of dark brown) sorry if its too much info! I took a pregnancy test (ttc) this morning as well and came out negative. Bit worried with this change as my periods are dead on 28 days. Please share your stories

First period after laparoscopy extremely painful
First period after a lap tends to be the worst for some women also some periods will come early and others late. The light pink sounds normal too but if at all you get worried you can talk to your gp just to be on the safe side.
All my first periods after laps have been pretty awful. I think it’s really common and probably has a lot to do with the first bleed after all the trauma surgery brings xxx
Hi, I've got a very similar story: Lap in January stage 4 endo and many adhesions. I had a vague hope the pain would be less after the op... First period came 2 days early, worst pain ever, I was in tears. My friend who also had endo said its normal cause everything is still a bit swollen and broken, healing after the operation so therefore the first period is so painful... Fingers crossed it will get better! X x
thank you all for sharing your stories! im on day 2 and the pain is manageable with regular paracetamol but i guess iv built a good threshold over the years! cant wait till the first few cycles are over! iv also now changed my diet to loads more greens n veggies and alot less gluten, dairy, sugar and processed! got to resist the temptation!
