It is 2 months since I had deep excision surgery, it was done through 3 laparoscopic incisions.

The two side ones are sensitive and tender. Whereas the belly button one I keep getting a sharp pain on the inside.

Is this normal and any suggestions how to help it? X

Even though the stitches are meant to be dissolvable, sometimes they don't dissolve as in my case. It was about a month after my lap and my consultant had to remove them as they were still there and irritating me. It was very easy to have them removed and I think this can even be done at a local GP surgery by a nurse. I would enquire about this and get them removed. Hope this helpsx

I can’t see anything on the outside, as it looks very neat.

So it might be like you said and not have dissolved inside? X

In my case it hadn't dissolved at all and could still be seen on the outside. I am not sure about the inside but I would get it checked out just in case they still need to remove some of it. The area close to the incisions did sting for quite a few months anyway whilst it was healing so I believe it is normal anywayx

A month after my lap my wounds were still tender and because I've seen what a bad wound infection looks like (my brothers keyhole wound got infected it was awful I nearly passed out from the smell) I didnt want mone to get like that so I went to the doctor he squeezed my wounds then gave me antibotics 😮 Also 4 months later on my belly deep inside I've still got stitches I'm not worried I keep trying to knock them off 😮 I would see the doctor about infection before you try and knock the stitches off 🤔

Thanks for getting back to me. I had liquid squeezed out my wound 10 days post op and then my wound opened a few times in the following weeks and I had to squeeze more of the liquid out. 😖

I finished a course of antibiotic last week due to having 2 serious infections in my bladder and stomach. But the infection has now cleared up. I might try soaking in the bath as I can’t see into my belly button very well and I can’t stand touching it. I have never been able to stand touching it as it makes me cringe. But hopefully that will help xx

Oh no 😭 Its probably still tender from the infection then 😮 If it carries on I would get back in touch with your doctor 😮 I'm sorry you've had to go through this 😮 I cringe at my belly button as well 😂 Xx

I think you are right. I am giving it a week as I have been given some tablets to try for the problems I have with my bladder. So then I can say if that’s any better also.

Reading stories on here it seems like so many of us have been through a lot due to endometriosis! Just thinking positive and that once I heal from the op I can get some normality back 😊

I hope you are well xx
