Hello ☺

I was wondering what people's top tip for living with endo is?

I have a lot of digestive issues (endo on bowel) and have found using an essential oil blend called ZenGest really helps x

I loved my hot water bottle but then got these horrible marks on my stomach which doctor asked about when examining me and said that it was damage from hot water bottle? Its called Erythema ab igne (EAI), also known as hot water bottle rash. The scars are fading after months of not using it but I miss it so much as it did provide some comfort x

I've got those scars too! I don't think I couldn't survive without my hotty botty though. Well done going without! I just have a blotchy tummy now but have sort of accepted it xx

I use Isagenix cleanse and shakes. It has a live enzyme in it that helps heal the gut. It’s really help me take away the pain, bloating and I e actually dropped weight. It’s been a Godsend!

Drinking lots of water and eating well. As boring as it sounds! I eat a lot of fruit veg and a handful of nuts every day. I eat normally but include all that, I drink loads as I've had problems with my bladder and ta-da! Endo all round my bladder. So just trying to keep healthy. It's bloody boring though and I refuse to give up wine! But lots of fruit and water. My hot water bottle collection is pretty impressive now as well, although I have a blotchy rash on my tummy now that's scarred a bit. Walking a lot, although haven't been able to run for months as it triggers endo pain m but walking seems safe. Peppermint tea! Mefenamic acid, tranexamic acid and various opoids when I get my period or ovulation bleeding.

I gave up dairy for two months to see if it would help and it did marginally but not enough to give up butter or cheese! But I don't eat as much dairy now as I used to and it's helped the swelling a bit. Just trial and error and see what your body responds to.

Wishing you lots of luck in finding something that works and helps you, this illness is bloody horrid. Xxx

Thank you so much. Yea i was vegetarian before this but now have cut out dairy completely and also stopped drinking. I try and eat lots of anti inflammatory foods too. Still suffering though but guess that's what it's like ☹

I guess I want to find a miracle that will allow me to get my life back to how it was xx

Fennel Tea, Belladona for pain cramps!

I had endometriosis on the bowel but had it removed last year but still having issues with my tummy my consultant recommended a lactose and gluten free diet which isn’t proving as easy as I thought my tummy still swells, hope you find something that works soon Xx

Ooh thanks for the tip about Zengest, I've recently been diagnosed with endo on the bowel and have been really struggling with my symptoms. Is there any particular brand you'd recommend?

I would recommend a heat pad, I used to use a hot water bottle but would get annoyed at constantly refilling it. Now I don't have to worry, I just turn it on and choose the temperature. It automatically turns off after 3 hours so you can use it in bed. A V shaped pillow helps when I'm in too much pain to lie down and allows me to fall asleep sitting up.

Peppermint tea helps gas pain and original mint polos helps my nausea (I used to take peppermint oil tablets but they caused acid reflux and indigestion).

Since cutting out dairy I feel a lot better, less bloating/ stomach pain and weeing is much less painful day to day (not sure if this is my endo or interstitial cystitis). Pretty much the same as what everyone else has said really 🤔

Xx

Ohh thanks. Do you get the burn marks from using a heat pad?

This is the info for ZenGest

ZenGest®

Known as dōTERRA’s tummy tamer blend, DigestZen holds many benefits for digestive health. The soothing properties of this oil can ease the uncomfortable effects of occasional indigestion or upset stomach

I've got a lady who works for them near by but you can buy it from ebay or other online places if you don't have someone near to you who does it.

Hope it helps x

I haven't noticed any new burn marks, I mainly use mine on my upper and lower back and on my legs. I've got burn marks on my legs from when I used a hot water bottle.

Zengest sounds amazing - I need it! I'll have a look online, thank you so much 😊

Keeping as physically fit and active as you can, get moving, I know it’s horrendous but on days I really struggle keeping mobile really helps me, from the pre workout buzz to the mental health side of things, I have honestly found that exercise is the best recipe, it went the same for my pregnancy too and certainly paid off. On rest days...hot water bottle and chocolate buttons 🤭🤗xx
