Ovulation two periods

Hi would love it if I could get some advice of people and help me out a little, I’m basically having a period every 36 days witch is normal for me but soon as my period ends I’m having another one about 10 days later, a real period just as heavy as my first period, I’ve had scans and checks internal and everything seems fine I can’t have a smear I’m not due yet I’m only 24 I can have one in the summer, also me and my partner have been trying a baby and now I’m just wondering will this stop me conceiving or change my ovulation date so my period was 23rd dec so I should ovulate around about 14th jan ish but because I’m having another period will that knock it off or will it just stop the same and me will ovulate ?? Sorry for long long essay just would love people’s feed back x

It’s a period though not spotting or being light it’s so heavy and I suffer with heavy periods anyway and painful ones can they be heavy when you ovulate? It’s just like a full blown period it’s annoying because I don’t know where I’m at!! X

Not sure, a few years back I took Vitex because I didn’t realise I had endometriosis thinking it would fix my periods and while I took it, when I ovulated it was a bleed. Full blown period is odd though, Usually a breakthrough bleed - perhaps do an opk see what it says xx

Bleeding during ovulation I heard was a sign of high fertility x

I suggest you should use ovulation predictor kits and possibly also do some ovulation temperature charting to find out when you ovulate x

I have what I thought to be irregular cycles and have been using NaturalCycles to monitor stuff. You can sign up, they send out a basal thermometer (2 decimal places) and you can download the app. You can buy ovulation prediction tests (urine tests) from them but I've found them cheaper on Amazon. You can input temperatures, the test results, and periods, including spotting, it calculates your cycles and ovulation; it can take three months for it to do this accurately.

Just using ovulation prediction tests doesn't show actual ovulation; it shows a surge of LH that starts ovulation but isn't a guarantee for eggs being released. You need that LH surge up to 2 days before ovulation and then a 0.5 deg C increase in temp up to 24 hours later to show ovulation has definitely happened. True you can just log this yourself. But the app is helpful for storing it. It also has a feature to log sex protected and unprotected and will show fertile days. You have the option of planning or preventing which can be changed at any point.

NaturalCycles is certified and I've found every doc (including specialists) I've mentioned it to is happy to use the results / data from it.
