Hi there. I just wanted to know what is the cost of General laparotomy? Because I need to know it for a friend. If anyone has a had one somewhere in the USA. It would be nicer to estimate cost. She is planning to a have it soon. I would really appreciate reviews from all of you.

I’m in the USA and have had 3 different laparoscopies. One for endo diagnosis and excision, one for gallbladder removal, and one for exploration and removal of my appendix. I know you mentioned a “general laparotomy” and I am unsure if that would cost more or less, but my surgeries were around $25,000. With insurance they only ended up costing around $1,500. It all depends on if they have insurance and where they end up getting the surgery. They may be able to ask what a ballpark cost would be.
