Endo with no periods?

Hi all, I’m wondering if it’s possible to have and be diagnosed with endometriosis when periods are dormant. Been on the depo contraceptive injection for 12+ months and haven’t had a period for about 9m. Been on several variations the pill in previous years and was prescribed that at a young age due to seriously heavy periods, irregular cycle and severe pain.

I was referred to hosp after sex became so painful and no infection was there. I haven’t had a period of recent but still get period pain, severe stomach symptoms such as cramps, back pain, bloating, wind, diarrhoea and constipation and have been told by docs after internal examination (which was the most painful thing in a LONG while) that endo is a big possibility and explains stomach issues which have been previously diagnosed as IBS.

Just wondering if this could be endo or anything else and so on. Any advice or experiences are appreciated! Thanks x
