Menopause Injection....

Has anybody on here tried the menopause injection called Danazol??

As my doctor is suggesting I try this to reduce some of my endomitrios, Before my bowel surgery in May.

I really am not liking the idea of having the Menopause at the age of 30!!!!

I've been on Zoladex injections which do the same for 6 months now in prep for surgery. I'm 26 and was also uncomfortable with the prospect of induced menopause!

It's different for everyone but for myself I've had most of the symptoms which aren't pleasant: hot flushes, headaches, no libido etc but it has helped my stage 4 Endo so much it's unbelievable. Definitely a lesser evil in comparison.

We just have to remember it's temporary. Best of luck with your surgery x

I will only be having Danazol for 4 months so hopefully won't be to bad.

And If It is going to help my surgery go smoother then I suppose it's a no brainer.

I had the Zolodex injections for 3 months prior to surgery and 8 months after, I was 30 at the time and was really nervous about my body being forced into menopause

I actually was fairly lucky in that night sweats was the worst of my symptoms! Compared to the pain of endo, which it pretty much cleared, I’ll take a little sweatiness! 😊

I have been off them two years with no long lasting negative side affects

It's so encouraging to hear Zoladex helped you that much!! Could you pls tell if the pain came back in the last 2 years or you are symptom free now? Thanks a lot!!
