Fatigue & Endo

Does anyone else seriously struggle with fatigue? I'm currently at work and without even exaggerating I am making myself type this message to stop my eyes closing at my desk.

I'm trying a very low sugar diet and am also trying to cut down on meat & dairy to stop the inflammation and try and get my energy levels back, but some days it all feels like it's just not worth it and I just want to give up and binge on chocolate.

Does anyone have anything else they've tried to try and combat it? I'm sleeping 8+ hours a night and even then I struggle to get out of bed some mornings when I'm in lots of pain xx

Hello! Ah thank you, I hadn't thought of asking them for that, but I have a GP apt in a few days so will definitely request it. Thank you again and glad you feel better now :) x

What medication are you on for endo? I’ve had extreme fatigue and the endo diet definitely helped (especially giving up caffeine and gluten ) but it was also related to my medication.

Hey, I'm not actually on any meds at the moment (other than painkillers) as they have all really disagreed with me. What are you taking, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks x

I’m on Prostap injections with add back Kliovance as HRT but was exhausted initially. Had my first fainting episode and that proved to me that there was something wrong. It wasn’t until I hit my car that I admitted it to myself. After all blood tests etc turned out to be normal I decided that my HRT dose was too low and since I doubled it ( with my doctors approval) I have felt a lot better. I still get tired quite easily but generally feel normal rather than a zombie! I really feel for you. Caffeine withdrawal was hard for 2 days and gave me headaches but I’m so glad I did it as I’m sure that’s helped a lot too. I was drinking more to keep me awake and that’s not a good cycle to get in to with endo. Let me know if it helps you. X

Hi Hayley,

Oh you poor thing, it's so horrible isn't it :( are there any options in your shop to sit down and rest more, ie at the till or something? Maybe you should speak to your manager and see if there's anything they can do to help. I know it's not easy, but chin up and hope you're ok x

No I was leaning on a fixture in work yesterday and she pushed my arm off it as I wasn't allowed to lean on anything. My back was killing me. I might have a chat to her but I not sure if it will make any difference to my body. I will end up bursting into tears when I chat to her. X

Hey Nicola ☺

Maybe get your b12 levels checked too. I've always suffered from fatigue for as long as I can remember but recently it got worse. I was way more tired than I use to be and really struggled day to day. Turned out I was b12 deficient, so had to get injections for that. It has def helped. I still feel fatigued and I'm sure I always will with endo but at least its more manageable again.
