Pelvic pain, adenomyosis?

Hi all,

I've been experiencing pain that has slowly increased over the last few years. It started off as dull, dragging heaviness low in my pelvic region that lasted a week and now I get really bad low back pain with it too, sometimes down my legs, groin pain, headaches, fatigue (sometimes I feel I've been hit by a bus and struggle to wake). I've figured out that the pain usually starts 2 weeks before my period and can last for weeks after. I had an ultrasound that showed asymmetry of my uterus, suggesting adenomyosis. My gyne got me in for diagnostic laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis and she found none.

My question is, should I go for an MRI to get more clarity about possibly having adenomyosis or could these symptoms be from something else?

Sorry for the thesis x

My MRI scan indicated adenomyosis but I think the only way to conclusively diagnose adenomyosis is after a hysterectomy. Your symptoms do seem to fit with adenomyosis, I think it would be good to have a MRI to see if there's an indication of adenomyosis xxx
