Still no date for laparoscopy

Had pre op appointment on the 7th. Waiting time is up to 12 weeks from that date. I am not the most patient person...😂😣 apart from feeling really achey and tired with usual bowel problems I'm actually feeling ok right now. Work has been enjoyable this week. Boyfriend and family all good. Now if only I could get the date...!

Fingers crossed you get your date soon, the waiting game is awful isn't it. I too am very impatient but i was really lucky and got my op date 3 hours after having my pre op appt, i couldn't believe it!!!!x

I know. My gynae did say that the waiting list wasn't long but i didn't believe her. Hope you get your date soon xxx

Waiting is horrible- I have full sympathy!

I actually phoned the hospital to ask an approximate time for Surgery-they were lovely and gave me a rough estimate-end of July. I was told I was very welcome to phone every 2 weeks to see where I was on the list- I phoned about 4 weeks later to check and low and behold they had cancellation so I had my laparoscopy in early June! I had a months notice so I could book off time off work etc.

I have also phoned this week when my Fertility specialist wanted a follow up ( I conceived after my laparoscopy but had a miscarriage) and my consultant put urgent still no one had allocated an appointment 😣 I spoke to someone in charge of appointments and got an appointment next week to see my consultant!

So it pays to be a hassler 😏 the hospital won't mind at all- most people call to see where they are on the list xoxo I'd phone them 😝 Good luck xoxo

Thank you. I might wait til next week and call as it's only been a couple of weeks so far I guess...but then will be more persistent if the date isn't given 😁 x
