Hi all, I am new to this site. I had a laparotomy the end of May. I had a 20cm cyst on the left ovary. The ovary, fallopian tube and omentum was removed because my consultant suspected ovarian and periotoneal cancer. He said it was a miracle that I got the all clear. Anyway my question is did anyone have this op and then out of the blue start getting really sharp pains beside the navel?( mine is on the right side) it is really bad.
I have been in and out of hospital due to other issues not relating to this so I don't want to go near a doc again. This last few years pain has taken over my life. If I know this is normal and all part of the healing process I will hold off. Have to say I was up and about the day after surgery, so maybe I did too much too soon and have pulled a muscle but for it to only kick in now bothers me.
Thanks for reading.

Have you had your appendix out? I'd go get it checkout out just in case. The pain is usually around the belly button then moves to the right and is an intense sharp constant pain. I started getting abdominal pains early last week, went to hospital after a couple days and then ended up having my appendix out on Thursday night along with a couple cysts on my ovary. My pain started up the top of my abdomen under my ribs and worked it's way down over a few days.
Oh Bechen, poor you. Thanks for replying. I hope you are recovered now. Yep the pain is intense. I haven't had my appendix out. Let's hope it eases..if not it's back to the horrible A&E department.
