What phased return to work did people try after excision surgery after how long and how did it work out?
I am meant to start back at work in under two weeks now and I am getting anxious about it. How I feel at the moment I doubt I will be strong enough to last the hour long commute and long day. I can barely walk the dog up the lane and need a lie down.

I had excision of a 3cm RV nodule and adhesions that attached my bowel to top of vagina and distorted it. I narrowly escaped resection ( phew!) but had the maximum bowel shave possible and had to unexpectedly have 4 cm 2 of my vagina removed as the nodule was more severe than scan had indicated so my 2 hour op became 4 plus. Also had Endo plaques removed from top of bladder and peritoneam around right ovary.
I'm looking to do a phased return too, with a gradual increase of hours over a month. I'm lucky that I work from home, but do have to travel a fair bit too, so my plan is no travel in first month back, then shorter days for next month. I'm usually doing 7 hours a day on a train and 5-6 hours in the office.
I would suggest you put yourself first and start with the minimum you can as its much easier to increase hours or tasks than it is to reduce!
