I have had problems for 5 years since my last son was born. I have heavy excruciating periods, endometriosis and fibroids. My mood swings are all over place, I get migraines just before and during my periods I am a nightmare to live with at this time of the month. Limited what gynae can do they tried burning the lining of my womb but failed as the lining punctures as I am only 31 they won't give me a full hysterectomy I got my first decapeptyl injection on yesterday to get another one in 4 weeks and not sure if I want to, I'm getting hot flushes at nights and my arms and hip where I had the injection are a bit ache. only side affect I got told about was menopause side effects. I have hrt tablets was only told to take them if it got too much. I am totally unsure what to do. I know it's only been 1 day but I have health anxiety and don't want to risk flaring into a panic attack.

I don't have much advice for this, as I just started getting treated for endometriosis and PCOS. But know you aren't alone in this.

Maybe you can call your doctor's office with your concerns?

Try some breathing exercises to help with panic attacks as well. Best wishes

From what my consultant said. These injections are supposed to put you in a temporary state of menopause so you will get hot flushes and mood swings but it shouldn't be all day everyday and personally id stick with it because if these ibhwvtiom work it means a hysterectomy would. I think this is the plan for me after my op. They wont give a hysterectomy without trying this first I hope you get better soon x

It's been 7 days since having the injection and I haven't slept for 5 of those days. Is this really normal
