Contraceptive pill nolonger helping pain!

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, and am just seeking support, and if possible, would like to help anyone going through the horrible illness that is endo.

I was diagnosed with mild endometriosis two years ago, and have suffered with fluctuating pain ever since (and a huge amount before diagnosis!). I've tried Yasmin for a year which only helped a bit, and then tried Microgynon, which provided a significant amount of improvement for about six months, and I was pretty much pain free, but after now having been on that after a year or so, all my symptoms are coming back. The last few days have been terrible - bed ridden with pain, particularly on my right side, and as you all know well, I'm sure, complete and utter exhaustion. I don't understand how something classed as 'mild' could cause this much pain. My gynae has strongly recommended the Mirena coil as pills don't seem to work long term.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this on the pill, ie having some improvement in regards to pain but it gradually wearing off over time?

Any insight would be really helpful!

xx
