Hi everyone :-)

I'm currently taking zomorph 30mg twice daily (slow release morphine) pregablin 200mg twice daily and I have oramorph for breakthrough pain.

None of which are currently working. I'm in so much pain mainly in my back and can hardly move. I've an appointment with my GP on Friday to see about any alternatives, so was wondering if anyone could recommend anything which works?

Thank you

X

Hey!

I'm on MST (slow release morphine) and I take 20mg 2 times a day and I'm still finding I have a lot of breakthrough pain.

My GP was incredibly hesitant to up my dose from 20mg to 40mg a day but he did it because I totally broke down and I don't know how to ask for something with a more immediate effect? X

I feel like when I asked my GP to up it like he was like "it's morphine? And you're still sore" I just think it's awful how little some doctors know of how sore this is.

Do you have oramorph for break through pain?

I need something more immediate for immediate release but I don't know how to ask my GP for it! X
