Feeling tired

Hi all, I have recently joined the group, amazing that these groups are here to discuss topics others don't fully understand. I'm feeling so drained. After being diagnosed with endo in 2005 after a 2 year wait of pain, I have since had 2 laparoscopies. Went through hell for two years because I was told my chances of conceiving were very low 😞. After requesting a hysterectomy because I couldn't cope with the daily dose of pain, I Was advised to go on the combined pill (Yasmin)- works well for pain but very concerned about the things I am discharging and I am constantly tired which is starting to effect my life!. And doctors are useless can never get an appointment with my gp- the one who knows all my history. So today I'm feeling pretty fed up x

Yes I'm 30.. feeling more like 130 tho x

Okay, well at your age I would say don't have a hysterectomy if you can delay.

I'm assuming that you would like to have children since you said about your chances. Are you in a relationship?

Yes been together 12 years. We attended the fertility clinic few years back where they took samples etc told me it was very unlikely to conceive. I just feel drained from it all. I went to the hospital on Sunday I discharged something horrid and was in agony before that, but there's nothing they can do really apart from put it down to endo x

When you say discharge, is it bad clotting or something more?

How often does it happen?

It deffo doesn't look like a clot as I'm use to big clots.. it's the first time. I've started the new pill and I took it for 3 months then break for a month then go back on it.. had been back on it two weeks when that happened x

I'm so sorry you are in so much pain and distress. Do you think there is a chance it could've been a very early miscarriage? I'm sorry to raise it but if it was it may show that you do still have the chance of conceiving and carrying a baby full term... xx

The picture I took looks more like that. However they advised me to do a home test and that was negative x

Hi, i am sorry you've been going trough this for so long.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo 7 years ago, i am now 30. I had 3 years of trying to figure out what works for me. I had a laparoscopy but unsuccessful due to how advanced my endo was. I was then put on prostap injections for 8 months. Side effects where challenging but it worked, all the adhesions and cysts where gone. I then tried the pill and combo pill but in the end mirena coil worked for me. I urge you to try it. After 2 years on the coil i had it removed and year later i fell pregnant. During that year i had no pain and very light periods.

My baby is now 5 months old and i am having a mirena put in again soon. I am never looking back.

Ps. I begged for hysterectomy but was denied due to young age. I am so glad they wouldn't let me do it even though at that time i felt like the pain would never end, but it did in the end. My mom has endo too and she has had the coil for the last 15 years.

I really hope that you'll find something that works for you. Please consider it.

May i ask if you've been discharged from your clinic(gynae)? I remember that I could always call the clinic if i had any problems instead of waiting for gp appointment.

Yea was discharged around two years ago after my follow up appointment after laproscopy

How is it possible that you were discharged yet you are still dealing with this. I wasn't discharged until after my endo was dealt with properly and i was confident that it was no longer an issue.I think you should ask your gp to be referred back to the clinic.

Surely your gp is not qualified to deal with this.

Hopefully when I do manage to get seen I will get re re referred however the consultant did inform me there was nothing they could do again as I'd already had two laproscopys x

Maybe the go could refer you to a different consultant, laparoscopy is not the only way to deal with endo, there are other options. I hope you'll find a solution to this, i wish you all the best.

As for the discharge I remember i had something fall out of me a couple of times, at first I thought it was a blood cloth but actually it was a piece of the lining of the womb. I thought i had a miscarriage but it was just a piece of tissue from the uterus. It can happen with endo.

Yes when I visited the walk in it was examined and I was told it was possibly the lining of the womb but they didn't know for sure
