Hi all,

I had a chocolate cyst burst a few weeks ago, on that day I was taken to hospital they did a blood test which came back with a very high reading of my white blood cells.

Does anyone know why my white blood cell count was very high?

hi. How are you feeling? I had a ruptured cyst in September 16, they said to me high white blood cells was an indicator that your body is on high alert and fighting something. I also had high inflammatory markers to. Have they scanned you?

Oh really what do they mean your body is fighting something? Do you mean fighting the burst cyst? Yeah they have done test for cancers and I had a transvaginal ultrasound and they found another 36mm cyst on my right ovary which has not be diagnosed yet :(

Hi. They said cysts and endometriosis aren't supposed to be in there so you're bodies immune system try's to deal with it but can't which is why you can end up with a high count. Are you awaiting results ? its not easy to get an accurate diagnosis with scans even by endometriosis specialist. Hope your pain is ok today.

Xx
