Advice and help please! Warning it is a long story.

Hello All.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in December 2015. I have been badly suffering for about a year with some problems (may be a bit tmi)

I have had episodes of really bad constipation, which I have a draw of prescription meds to help with, that suddenly turns into diarrhoea that can last days. I have tremendous upper abdomen swelling that takes me from a size 12-14 all the way to a 16 or 18 (depending on the garment or where I bought it from as some store sizes are smaller). This is also accompanied by bleeding from my bottom and having blood in my stool occasionally. This is also all whist having the nausea that sometimes makes me sick and gives headaches/migraines.

I went to the doc in august 2016 and told her of these issues, had stool checked for bacteria and chrones disease (came back clear) and my bloods where fine. I was checked for anaemia and even coeliac disease. From there I was monitored until I was referred to the hospital for more checks in November.

I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy with 8 biopsies taken on 2 weeks ago. I have just had a letter from the hospital that every sample camelback ok and there was nothing found causing these issues and they have discharged me.

I know this is good news but at the same time I feel deflated as they haven't found what is causing me these issues and say it may just be my endometriosis to blame. I feel they have stretched this out and then given up on me. Has anyone else had this experience or do you experience these issues with your endometriosis?

I have the same problems as you down to the T right now but I'm still in the process of actually being diagnosed. I'm on the waiting list for a Laparoscopy. But from what other woman and what doctors have said it is all part of Endometriosis, sadly.

I thought as much but didn't have these issues till about 6months after the laparoscopic surgery so thought it unrelated. Suppose it's one of the many things to keep battling and dealing with.

I hope it all goes well for you and that you get some answers and help.

I have the exact same thing and it all was due to my Endometriosis. The only thing that helps with the pain for me is muscle relaxers. I don't know if you have tried them or not, but nothing else works for me. I hope this helps! I also, hope the pain will just go away!

I haven't tried muscle relaxers. The Doctors keep giving me every for constipation and diarrhoea to try and keep me regular-ish and reduce the pain and swelling. I may mention it to them next time and see what they say. Thanks for the help and support 😊
