Peppermint oil for gas pains?!

Hello ladies,

Just wondered if anyone knows where I could get hold of some peppermint oil/water? Seems a lot of places have aromatherapy oil, but don't think that is very drinkable!!?

Got given some at the hosp which was amazing!

Thanks 💕

Hiya I bought a box of 20 peppermint tea bags from Iceland and they were actually quite nice! x

Thanks for your response! I have some clipper + Sainsbury's peppermint tea here, but it's nothing compared to the stuff the hosp gave me! 😕

Yeah a few people on here suggested it so I bought some in for after my lap. I took that and made sure I was walking every now and then and the pains were away in two days xx

Peppermint tea really helps me. I’ll have to try and find some peppermint oil too.

Try peppermint cordial, it may help. Sure you'll be able to get it from any supermarket xxxxx

Thank you! I will get my Mother-in-Law to hunt some down today! Live about 35mins from closest decent supermarket, so all good fun 😂

Colpimin ( for IBS) are peppermint oil capsules and I've always found they are brilliant for trapped wind pain , you've prob heard of them already but you can get them in chemists or supermarkets there about £5-6 for 20 x

When I looked at Holland+Barrett online I could only see aromatherapy oils 😔 but could just be being dopey! 😌

You can buy peppermint oil capsules at Holland & Barretts stores. Little capsules of bliss aren't they?!

I found this for you:

Improve Bloating and Indigestion -Peppermint oil has been established as a natural alternative to drugs like Buscopan to reduce spasms of the colon. It works by relaxing the muscles of your intestines, which can also reduce bloating and gas. Try peppermint tea or adding 1 drop of peppermint oil to your water before meals.

It was from this website: draxe.com/peppermint-oil-us...

That's really interesting, thanks ☺ my husband brewed up some mint leaves in a teapot last night which was really tasty actually - much fresher than a teabag (obviously!), but still not as amazing as the water the hosp gave me! Will continue our search! 😂
