Mirena Coil taken out..

I had my coil taken out two days ago as it was sat on the bottom of my cervix and since then I've had heavy bleeding, pains across my stomach and my legs feel like a ton of bricks. Is this normal after having the coil? Its my first time with the coil so I'm not sure.

No you may have an infection from them taking it out.

Go see your GP:

Hello @Tanyaannh I'm so sorry! I had the exact same thing happen- I had daily knife-stabbing pains from Mirena for 4 months and was really concerned it was out of place- doctor finally listened and yup, it was pushing through the cervix. They also thought it looked like an infection had started. I had it removed April 20th and 2 days later got extreme heavy bleeding for almost a week, plus some pretty bad migraines- I've heard that is all part of the Mirena withdrawal. I'm not saying you don't have a problem, but trying to reassure you that I started to feel much better after 1 week. Haven't had a cycle yet though so not sure how that will go! Good luck!!
