First gynae appointment

So today I've been to my first gynae appointment after being referred by my GP.

The consultant has given me a two week course of antibiotics incase their is any STI which there definitely isn't.

He has told me if the course of antibiotics doesn't improve my symptoms then he will think about doing a lap for suspected endo.

Has anyone else had similar to this? What was the outcome?

  • Hi there!

I was told when I was younger I had a uti, I kept getting uti's and I still do.

Turns out it's endo on my kidney causing infections.

A lot of doctors do turn to antibiotics based on symptoms "just in case" because of the sepsis scandals
