Just been told I'm being put on the waiting list for lap

I have just rang my local hospital to get a update on when I went to see the consultant 2 weeks ago and the receptionist said I have been put forward to have a lap.

She said I will get a letter in a day or two but also someone will ring me to book my appointment. I asked how long the list is but she didn't know - how long do people usually wait?

How soon can you go back to work?

I was back to work a week after but it varies from person to person
