Hi ladies,
I have now been prescribed Zoladex injections for 6 months as my endometriosis is severe...but have read up on the awful side effects. Is Lupron any different/better and does anyone have any experiences with these drugs?

Hello I had zoladex for 6 months last year and it worked well for me. Or so I thought. I've only been off it for 6 months and I've just had an acute flare up of my symptoms. I'm now back on the zoladex and awaiting surgery with an endo specialist.
I won't lie, the side effects are pretty shocking and this time if the zoladex is going to continue I will request hrt.
I managed without hrt last year but I was determined. This time I'm not in a great place starting my treatment.
Good luck x
Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry to hear you are going through it.x I am amazed at how many women are suffering from this, I had never even heard of endometriosis before this year.
I had a Zoladex injection today...hurt like hell, hoping it won't hurt as much next time as I have only had surgery done last week to remove a Falliopian tube and cyst. Was also prescribed Livial today so I'm going to take that also.
All the best with your future surgery xx
Thanks. The most frustrating part is the waiting now.
I found the injections okay. Just like a bee sting. Sad to say you get used to them 😔
Hope you're recovering well from your surgery. X
I have had 2 courses of Prostap (Lupron) and did really well on it with no side effects to speak on. I was pain free while I was having the injections. My time on Lupron has been the best I've ever felt xxx
