Hi I'm shannon I'm nearly 21.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis around the age of 15 years old after struggling with irregular periods and having cysts the decided to do key hole surgery which is where the found out I was born without my left ovary and had endometriosis tissue on my right one.
They suggested I went on the pill and now after around 5 years I decided to stop taking the pill 6 months ago and I have felt good in myself since stopping the pill but I'm really worried that although I may feel good it won't help my endometriosis and I'm worried if I don't take my pill I wont be able to have children when I'm older I think about this most days and feel as if it's taking over my life.
Since stopping the pill my period have come back but are very irregular I undrstand it takes a while for your body to get back to normal but I went 40 days without my period then came back on 2 weeks later and still after finishing my period I am still having brown discharge two weeks after I started.
I'm really worried what if I have made the wrong decision stopping my pill. I feel that doctors don't listen to me, I'm just worried for what the future holds. If anyone can help please message me.
Thank u for reading.xo
