What does this say?

if the doctor has done over 400 laparoscopies and 300 hysteroscopies...how would you rate this as an experience? Is this a lot, average?Thank you

I wouldn't say this amounts to a huge amount of experience based on how many they could realistically do each day - I might be completely wrong but I would guess this number could be achieved in less than five years? I think the more important thing to check is that you are being treated in a BSGE centre xx

I haven't even had my (diagnostic) lap yet, just trying to grasp all the info I can get and make some sense out of it, put it in prospective etc

Sounds like a reasonable amount of procedures. I don't think that alone is a measure of how good your doctor would be. So if you have a doctor with 10 years experience versus a doctor with 5 years experience, it's possible that the more junior doctor might have had the latest training and most knowledge about endo.

Just be open minded and go prepared to ask questions of your specialist irrespective of their years of experience.
