Struggling to deal with this again..

Iv recently had a laparoscopy (14/12/16) ... recovery went great, started to feel myself again...was a pain free also

The last two weeks or so Iv got all my pain back, all my symptoms back..sleepless nights also. Apart from irregular bleeding and period problems as Iv has then coil fitted..but have had alot of spotting. I'm mentally and physically drained already...I'm in absolutely agony..in bed all day as that's all I can do due to pain and not sleeping...I'm in paracetamol and ibuprofen...also a hot water bottle on my stomach most of the day.

I'm struggling to go though all this again. I have doctors tomorrow but I know its going to be a long road yet again.

Sorry to hear how poorly you are feeling. I think you need better painkillers so you can rest better. Naproxen and or tramadol used carefully can stop the pain.

Gentle exercise when you can and distractions are good. Look at diet too, certain foods make me uncomfortable.

Hope you feel better soon. X

So sorry you are feeling like this.

Did they remove any endo during the laparoscopy - do you have a letter, notes etc saying exactly what was found and what was done? It may help to know precisely, and thendiscuss further on here, or contact 'Endo UK' advisors (link at top of this page, to their site and phone/email contacts). you should get copies of all letters, results etc, if not ask at your Gp's surget reception.

If you have only just had the mirena fitted, it does take time before it has it's full effect. My period was about the same first time, but became much easier each time, until about 6 months (and then for the next five and a half years), when I was utterly pain and period-free.

Sorry this doesn't help much, it does depend what was done.

Take care.

I had three bits on endo removed during the laparoscopy..recovery went great and I was pain free, started getting back to normal and planned to Go back to work....but that last two weeks ALL of my symptoms have come back. I had doctors and been told it's possibly still endo x

Are you in the UK? If so was the laparoscopy your first? Was there ever a purely diagnostic one, and did they 'stage' the endo ... eg stage 1, or 2 etc.? Also has anyone, eg your GP, mentioned 'BSGE' clinics = specialist endo clinics. Look them up on the 'endo UK' site.

If you are in the UK, and a lap suggests the Endo is serious, you should be referred to a BSGE Clinic. Your GP should know all about this, but lots don't seem to.

Please talk to the advisors at 'Endo UK' as they can tell what's best to do, and explain about BSGE Centres.

Yeah I'm in the U.K. And was my first laparoscopy...I haven't been staged, just been told I had two bits of endo one side and one but the other side...thank you so much! Never knew that, going to look now x
