Not at all codeine is a painkiller, or more so opoid which effects the part of your brain which triggers responses in the nervous system. It however does go through the kidneys in liver but that would not effect the effectiveness of contraception.

Cezarette makes your body think it's pregnant so you won't have a period and goes through the liver, the effectiveness of it as a contraceptive relies on you taking it at the same time each day (or 1 hour window) otherwise it can result in spotting and in some cases pregnancy.

The importance of the liver in all of this is that both of these pills make it function slower not faster. What would make your liver function faster are liver supplements one is known as milk thistle, if you take milk thistle with cezarette the effectiveness of the contraceptive would go lower since your livers pumping it so fast out of your blood stream that you won't absorb the hormones.

Hope this helps:)

It wouldn't effect them since they're completely different kinds of medication. Codeine won't stop you from taking the hormones into your blood stream.
