Endometriosis and Melanoma.

Hi, Has anybody been diagnosed with melanoma?

My partners sister has OCD and after spotting a suspicious mole on her mums arm, she asked me if I had any and to get them checked out, so I did.

My GP made an urgent referral for me to see a dermatologist in October to have one checked out on my leg and in the groin area. The dermatologist removed 1/3 in the groin area on 1st November. I had the results on 1st Dec and was told it was skin cancer. It came as a shock as I'd had it a years and it was in an area that wasn't exposed to the sun.

My partners sister has informed me tonight that she's read there is a link between Endo and melanoma. I was told not to google anything by the specialist but it has upset me to find out there is a link but my endo specialist has never warned me to be vigilant about the moles.

Wow so good you listened to her and got checked out, I have been meaning to go for another mole check and as I have endo and fibroids - I just read both increase the risk - I will prioritise getting it done again. Thanks!
