Hi all,
I'm new here and found reading your posts very helpful! I've suffered from painful periods since they began 20 years ago (I'm now 32). I've more recently been experiencing excruciating pain in my lower abdomen on the first three days of my period where I have almost blacked out and been sick. I've also experienced difficulty having a number 2 during this time! I've been absent from work during my period for the past 3 times. My main concern has always been endometriosis. My Mam suffered for years and finally when she was diagnosed at 37 she required a full hysterectomy. Spoke to doctor after a particularly painful period who referred me to gyno who agreed that a laparoscopy was the best idea. For almost 3 weeks I've had this awful persistent pain on my left, sometimes groin sometimes higher and it radiates into my hip and my back. Could this be related to endometriosis? I'm sick of being written off with IBS. It just feels like an easy answer to complicated symptoms.
I do not wish endometriosis on myself but I'm so concerned they find nothing during my laparoscopy after years of pain.
Thanks everyone!
