Hi all, I wondered if anyone experiences breakthrough bleeding. I'm currently half way through my pill pack and have bled for 9 days now. It's lighter than normal but this has never happened before and I'm in so much pain. Please help us there anything I can do xx

Hi, I am in a similar boat. I am half way through my first pill pack and have breakthrough bleeding every day alongside pelvic pains. I am taking the Cerelle mini-pill. I have read that breakthrough bleeding occurs more in the first three months of taking the pill as your body adjusts to taking it:

onlinedoctor.superdrug.com/...

It gives some advice on there as to what to do. It says: 'in some cases, the minipill can cause spotting throughout the month. If you experience this side effect you can ask your GP to recommend an alternative pill for you to try'. Hope this helpsx

Goto family planning, or better still, your dr,i wouldn't personally wait longer than 9days but thats because ive had bleeding issues and the pills either going to help or hinder me ,goodluck ,keep us updated please.
