I've been trying to conceive since February and no luck yet. But I'm wondering; does the pain go away during pregnancy and then come back or does it continue?
I'm awaiting a laprascopy for investigation and possible treatment but from my own research I'm 99% sure I've got endo on my uterosacral ligament. This causes extreme levels of back pain.
Anyone got any info?
One of the cruellest things is that a great treatment for endo is pregnancy but getting pregnant can be so hard with endo (talking from experience, it took us 4 years to get pregnant). As soon as I was pregnant the endo pain eased and disappeared other than pulling pains from my frozen pelvis. I breastfed and had no periods until 10 months after giving birth which coincided with us weaning off breast milk then straight into horrendous periods and endo pain unfortunately. The pregnancy and post pregnancy hormones help it to lie dormant but do not make it disappear.

Thanks for your reply, it's a relief to hear the pain will go. Luckily for me I normally control my pain by taking the contraceptive pill continuously without a break and don't suffer much if any issues. It's only since coming of the pill to conceive that I've had such horrible pain as it's no longer controlled and there isn't much they can do e.g. hormone treatment.
