ENDO and piles?

Are they a common thing together? Never ever had piles but suddenly seen to have the worst pain imaginable, which seem to coincide with my endo pain? Anyone else have or had the same?

If you are bleeding from your bum during bowel movements it's a possibility. However if your bleeding from you bum during your periods that's a sign of rectovaginal endometriosis, how I found out was I was wearing a tampon and I had a pad on and I was still bleeding.

I've had pain during bowel movements in my vaginal and abdominal area since my period after my first pill, now since I'm on a pill back to back I get it during flareups but I also have pelvic floor dysfunction so it's sometimes caused by that.

Do you have pain when you sit?

Hi Hannah thanks for the reply. I have bleeding but only in relation to the piles I think? I seem to be worse with sitting or laying down? I just wondered if they were interrelated as I have never had them before and then suddenly the ENDO flares up and boom! Sorry to hear of your troubles too. x

I get pain when sitting down from pelvic floor dysfunction.

Hmm if your comfortable you could give your self an anal exam and look for hemroids, I would also go to the doctor since I believe there is a treatment.

It's possible I think there was a person on here before who developed piles after they got their bowel resectioned.

Endo tends to be related to other autoimmune diseases and issues in the body. For example I get migraines, have low muscle tone, and scoliosis. My migraines happen with endo.

I've also heard of celiac disease causing bleeding and inflamation of the bowel, does this happen after eating gluten?

The problem is if it's bowel related there's probably something else going on that you don't know about and you should see a doctor if you can jay to make sure. I know getting doctors or listen to us can be hard but what I do is I get a planner & track my pain everyday.

Hi yes ended up in A and E yesterday with piles and now might need an op. Being fast tracked to surgical team. Yes I think years of endo has done this. Good luck to you x

I used to suffer a lot with these. Best advice is plenty of water and the right cream! Ibuprofen can be good to reduce swelling and plenty I'd fibre so less pressure on the loo. Albran and kidneys beans are great for this. Takes a few days but wish someone told me that when I first got them!

Hello ladies, thank you for all of your messages. I hope you are all relatively well and pain free. I have come back to this post to make an update and as far as I'm concerned, clear link to endo and piles. Today I have been Xmas shopping so on my feet all day. I've been fine most of the evening when quite suddenly without warning I'm double over in pain in my right ovary/pelvic area with endo pain. I take my pain killers and now laying in bed my piles which have been absolutely fine are now unbearably painful again. For me it's concrete evidence that the pain is linked to the piles.
