I've posted a similar post 're exercise after a lap before but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask again. I'm keen to take up Pilates and/or yoga again but not sure whether or not it's too soon. Had my lap on the 9th Sept. I feel ok but any advice on when it is safe to start working those core muscles again is appreciated. X

I had a my first lap on 6th September and went back to trampolining (fitness class) and running a week ago. I felt really cautious at first but it was totally fine. I'd say go for it but take it easy! Good luck!
I think it depends on what you had done in the lap? There is no way I could have done any exercise in the last week and my lap was on the 5th.
I searched for this today andromedae9 as I am due back to Pilates in three weeks. I read that you can start things again four weeks after a lap and then build up slowly over another four weeks. I'm thinking of getting some Pilates one to one before returning to classes in three weeks.
Hello, this was excision surgery. Had a large endometrioma removed from my left ovary + they mobilised my right ovary that was stuck behind the womb/removal of adhesions. The one to one option sounds like a good idea. I might do that too before starting regular classes with other people where you might not get as much supervision.
