That's great news, finally! It'll be such a huge relief for you when you've had it done.
One huge piece of advice is get some peppermint oil capsules in aplenty as they will really REALLY help alleviate the trapped wind pain, when it comes. It's incredibly intense pain but these capsules worked absolute wonders. Can't recommend getting them enough.
I panicked slightly after the dressing came off from my belly button because it didn't look right however it does go back to how it looked before surgery.
Take pads with you to use after surgery. Don't be alarmed when you find skin etc in amongst it all because they are likely to perform surgery to rectify and it's only got one way out! It's all normal.
Just little things, but would have been helpful to know myself. Good luck with the surgery xx
Thank you any advice is welcome, I'm so nervous incase they don't find anything as for so many years iv been told it's in my head. Is the bladder Inspected during a laproscopy? Thank you for your help it really is appreciated. X
I was exactly the same prior to my lap. I was convinced they wouldn't find any endo so was incredibly relieved when they did. Make sure you tell them to if they find any sort what they can. They did with me. They'll have a good look around in front and behind everywhere. Do be aware though that if they find endo in certain places eg behind your uterus it may be too risky to remove for fear of damage something else perm entry. They generally remove what they can and as much as they can. My endo even ended up in amongst scar tissue which was attached to my uterus from my emergency c section. They sorted all of that out which has stuck directly to my uterus.
The benefits of having the lap far outweigh the pain any day. Just keep that in mind. Just be prepared for s rough couple of weeks after the lap. I was on so many different tablets to ease the pain I had to keep a chart as I couldn't keep up!!
Thank you so much! Hopefully it will provide the answers I need, thank you so much for you advice and support its so nice to talk to someone that understand and to be able to ask questions I greatly appreciate it iv just got to wait for my appointment now going to treat myself to some new pjs lol ! Xx
