Bleeding after laparoscopy

Hello

Hope you're all ok.

I had my first lap a week ago and still experiencing some vaginal bleeding. Is this normal? I did read somewhere that you can experience bleeding for a month and that this is normal but I guess I just need some reassurance.

Hi! I'm 3 weeks post lap and hysteroscopy and was bleeding for about a week. On my last lap which didn't include hysteroscopy I bled for a few days. Did you just have a lap on its own? I think it also depends on whether you were started on any hormonal treatments as with both laps I was started on something within 48 hours so that may have reduced the bleeding. Sorry it's not really an answer but more questions?

Hi Minnie,

Thanks for your reply. It was a lap on its own. They drained and took a biopsy of a large endometrioma + removed some adhesions +separated my ovaries (kissing ovaries). I was given an injection of Zoladex 48h after the lap.

I know others on here have continued to bleed on zoladex so maybe they may be able to guide you further! I had prostap the first time round.

I'm having a 2nd lap in Sept to excise the cyst and will be on zoladex until then.

Hope you have recovered fully from your lap.
