Spotting 1 week after lap - normal?

Hi,

I had my laparoscopy exactly a week ago. I'm still getting slight spotting. I keep thinking it's finished and see nothing for a day or so then there is more. Wondering if this is normal? I had the dye insufflation of my tubes as well so maybe it just dislodged stuff that is gradually coming down? Sorry if TMI.

Hi there, I spotted for 3 weeks after my op it was light spotting on and off. How this helps:)

I had same in March and bleeding for 50 days - hardly any bleeding but pain has been severe. In fact worse than when I had the operation. Still taking regular pain relief now and really disappointed operation hasn't given me any relief as yet 😣😣

Hey,

Spotting is very normal up until 6 weeks.

If no funny smell, then all is good.

Kind regards

Rose

Thanks everyone. I feel reassured! The hospital gave me an info sheet which said to expect light bleeding for 2 days, so I was a bit worried, but it sounds like weeks is more normal.
