Post-Op, swelling, pain, bloating etc.

Hello all! I am 3 weeks post-op from TPPE, and he also had to do some tubal surgery to unblock my tubes and ventrosuspension (womb flip)

I feel great from the surgery, however, the incisions below my knicker line are causing me some trouble. It feels hard underneath the skin, and I can see something (I think it's my tubes?!) pushing out against my skin, it's swollen and if I walk for too long I can feel it pushing outwards and it hurts a lot. It hurts in general and is sensitive to touch.

Is this the tubes or the ventrosuspension?

I've spoke to many women who had the same surgeon as me and they were all great at 2 weeks, and I'm just not! I know everyone's different but I'm starting to get agitated now because I want to get on with my life!

Also, when will this bloating go away?! I'm not overweight, I've been losing weight since but I'm still bloating really badly and I thought it would stop after excision? Many thanks xx

Hi Hun I think what you can see under the skin is due to the ventrosuspension. They shorten the ligaments and attach them to the abdominal wall.

It's still very early days so don't be so hard on yourself. You'll get there you just need to be patient. Easier said than done I know.
