Hello everyone,

I have newly been diagnosed, after years of being pushed around by one specialist to another.

On the 9th March I have a lapasophy op, fingers crossed, i am alittle worried as I've never had a op before, also I hope I will feel better afterwards and be out of pain at last.

Fingers crossed πŸ˜ƒ

Hi!

I wanted to reply and try to put your mind at ease. I don't like operations but my lap was fine. I didn't get much bloating after and the little holes they'd been in through healed really well and quickly. I didn't get pain from surgery (I went to Brussels for a boosy weekend a few days after...!).

What I'd say about the endo pain is that it's different for everyone, mine didn't go away but I didn't go to the right surgeon. If I had my time again I'd go to a specialist centre. If you are then I think you'll be fine and much better :-) fingers crossed.

Good luck x

Don't worry. Easier said than done I know but think of the positive outcome.

I was super nervous before my first op and didn't need to be as ot was fine.

No pain and out the same day.

Rested for 3 weeks after and let my body re coop.

Google larascopic and educate yourself as much as possible so you know what's going happen. I did made me feel better.

Trapped gas is the worst so get some peppermint tea in for afterwards.

Not long now you'll be fine. Message me after your done let me know how you get on xxx

Thank you both, I am hoping to be back to work 5 days later, they said I should be ok.

The clinic is a women's wellbeing one seem pretty good there considering all I did was describe my symptoms and she diagnosed me πŸ˜ƒ also she had it herself too which put me at ease too.

I am worried as I have belly button issues... πŸ˜… I know everyone laughs when I say it but I do!. And when I wake up I am going to feel like it's been raped πŸ˜‚

Thanks again, still really nervous tho but positive πŸ˜ƒ will keep you posted on how i get on xx

Ha no I totally get the belly button thing, I likened it to some kind of surgery you'd see in the x files. However Mulder and Scully didn't attend (disappointing) and I didn't even notice they'd been in there really :-)

I would say two weeks is what you'll be advised to take off work... I have heart issues so had 4 weeks off but I could've gone back to work sooner from the lap point of view.

Don't rush, some people get bloating badly and you will still have some little wounds that need to heal.

Keep me updated! X
