Hi all, I have got my first appointment in the next couple of weeks with a gyno at a private hospital (I have BUPA through work). Can anyone recommend on the best way to get referred for a lap? I have been experiencing the pain and discomfort for years and years and don’t want them to try put me on tablets. Plus I’m 29 and been trying for a baby for a while now so not on any contraception. Any advice much appreciated on what to expect. I’ve also had ultrasounds early this year and everything was clear.

Hi

I would take a pain diary with you, even if it's a couple of weeks something is better than nothing. List down your symptoms and the treatments you have tried. It's easy to refer to something written as I always forget to mention things. Take your partner to back you up.

I haven't gone private so cant advise on what to expect but be firm outlining what you want advising how long you have been ttc.

My ultrasound was clear also but I had widespread endo.

Good luck x
