Surgery on small bowel question

Hello there

I'm soon going in for endo surgery number 5 at an accredited centre for amongst other things removal of endo on small bowel .

I'm a bit concerned that a bowel prep has not been mentioned I asked the pre op nurse but she said there were no instructions to give me a bowel prep

I've had surgery on large bowel before where upon I had a prep beforehand

Should it make a difference if it's being carried out on small bowel??

Any help would be much appreciated

I had a bowel resection earlier this year alongside hysterectomy and was advised to eat a low residue diet for the week prior to surgery but no other bowel prep. I was given an enema once admitted to hospital that cleared out bowel v v effectively!!!!!
